چکیده

We show that photon coincidence spectroscopy can provide an un-ambiguous signature of two atoms simultaneously interacting with a quantised cavity field mode. We also show that the single–atom Jaynes–Cummings model can be probed effectively via photon coincidence spectroscopy, even with deleterious contributions to the signal from two–atom events. In addition, we have explicitly solved the eigen-vectors and eigenvalues of two two–level atoms coupled to a quantised cavity mode for differing coupling strengths.

Perturbative Corrections to Photon Coincidence Spectroscopy Perturbative Corrections to Photon Coincidence Spectroscopy 2

Whereas photon coincidence spectroscopy is a promising technique for probing the nonlinear regime of cavity quantum electrodynamics in the optical domain, the accuracy is mitigated by two factors: higher–order photon correlations, which contribute to an enhanced pair count rate, and non– simultaneity of emitted photon pairs from the optical cavity. We show that the technique of photon coinciden...

Perturbative corrections to photon coincidence spectroscopy

Abstract. Photon coincidence spectroscopy is a promising technique for probing the nonlinear regime of cavity quantum electrodynamics in the optical domain, however its accuracy is mitigated by two factors: higher–order photon correlations, which contribute to an enhanced pair count rate, and non–simultaneity of emitted photon pairs from the optical cavity. We show that the technique of photon ...

The Deterministic Generation of Photons by Cavity Quantum Electrodynamics

Cavity quantum electrodynamics allows the study of strong coupling between excited atoms and a single mode of a resonant cavity. As a consequence of the strong coupling the cavity field and the atom are entangled. The system thus provides important ingredients necessary for studies of quantum information processing. In addition the periodic exchange of a photon between atom and cavity can be st...

Dynamical evolution of nonclassical properties in cavity quantum electrodynamics with a single trapped ion

In this paper, by considering a system consisting of a single two-level trapped ion interacting with a single-mode quantized radiation field inside a lossless cavity, the temporal evolution of the ionic and the cavity-field quantum statistical properties including photon-counting statistics, quantum fluctuations of the field quadratures and quantum fluctuations of the ionic dipole variables are...

A Non-Demolition Photon Counting Method by Four-Level Inverted Y-Type Atom

The semi-classical model of atom-field interaction has been fully studied for some multilevel atoms, e.g. Vee, L, Cascade X , Y, and inverted Y and so on. This issue is developed into the full-quantum electrodynamics formalism, where the probe and coupling electromagnetic fields are quantized. In this article, we investigate the full-quantum model of absorption and dispersion spectrum of trappe...
